Author Topic: Stuff I want to change - remove reservoirs, change mirrors  (Read 919 times)

Hi .. so despite not even having picked my bike up yet - I'm already thinking of a couple of changes.
[1] Get rid of the brake & clutch remote reservoirs
[2] Get some better looking mirrors

I've read the Gen2 bike has the integral reservoirs.
I've had a quick look around and can't spot any - is this a recommended source for OEM or compatible brake/clutch lever replacements?

For mirrors, I'm used to having bar-ends .. any recommendations much appreciated.
Rizoma? Do I need adapters?

Thanks.

You'll have real problems trying to find the integral reservoirs, I've only seen them as OEM. As for bar end mirrors I have Rizoma and they not only look cool they also don't vibrate :). Don't think you have to change the bar ends, but someone on here will tell you. I have Motogadget bar end indicators which again look really cool IMO.

Like I said in your last post, it's where to stop.

Thanks for replying.
I've got Rizoma bar-end mirrors on the my other bike so will look to get these most likely.

MT-10 has the same brakes. The master cylinders for those are a bit more common (and a hell of a lot cheaper). For the clutch I would suggest a Thunderace unit. Quite compact.
I was going to change mine as I have a pair of XJR1300 MC's kicking about, but they're a bit 90's looking though.  ::)

Standard bars have a threaded inset for bar end attachment..Rizoma OEM upgrade bars do not.
Handlebar mirror  mounts are a left and right hand thread affair (M10 x 1.25)
