Hi to everyone,
Does anyone have experience of having a spare key cut from the red master key?
For example, do you have to go to a Yamaha dealer or can other 'key shops' do the same job?
I need a spare to complete the set as I managed to lose one and want to sell my bike with all three keys.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I'll attach some pics of my MT01 which in a later post I'll explain why I have to let it go.
Thanks for reading.
Yes you would need to buy a new key from Yamaha then get it cut that's ok just to take the seat off but you will also need to reprogram the key to start the MT it needs to talk to the immobiliser it tells you how to do that in the hand book i think

Thanks for your response Ash,
I'll look into that and make a couple of calls.
I can sense another nightmare looming!
Cheers, Graham.
It's an easy process, the shop manual (or owners, can't remember which) details it.
Only problem is the price of the key blank, I paid more than 50 Eur!
