New MT01 owner / Member - hello all:)

Hello,
       Just introducing myself as a new owner / member, just purchased a 2005 MT01 with stage 2 / titanium Akrapovic full exhaust. not ridden her yet but expecting a relaxed torquey ride with flat power band & mediocre handling? Am I anywhere near the mark? (my other bike is a BMW R1200GS water cooled boxer twin) Macca

Hi Macca , I also have a R1200GS LC. I love it. Does everything good but is very bland compared to the MT. The MT is a beast with tons of character. You'll find the handling is surprisingly good for such a lump of a motor but nowhere near the GS. The boxer is light with a low C of G and corners like on rails. I love them both just in different ways. Ohh ... and my wife refuses to go on the MT ... another big plus sometimes.

Welcome. Nice bike, you're lucky to have picked one up with the full Akro - pretty rare.
