Made it... flew to Stansted got lift to Ipswich and bought immaculate 2011 MT-01. 503 miles to home near Belfast... brilliant esp once I got clear roads off dual carriageways etc. Have to say I am not used to volume of traffic on a Friday evening in England!!
Good on you. Big day (!) - but the bike is pretty comfortable, I reckon. And the engine keeps you feeling nicely relaxed too.
Bike really comfortable except for those strips/pads at rear of tank. It was no problem and I even did a diversion before getting on ferry. It is a really cool calm bike if you want it to be. Love it!
I'm guessing that you mean those plastic .... what are they?... 'things', I guess
... on the frame. I have never found them to be intrusive, personally. Others may think differently.

As an aside, I lent it to a mate of mine who races bevel Ducati's and modern MV's.....when he gave it back after a week, he said he likened it to a Labrador! I think that he had a point! Although his riding and bikes are pretty sharp edged, he loved it.
Yes lovely motor. Anyone know if motohaus HPs .06.390.100 centre stand fits 2011 model. It is listed to 2010 only. was there a change ?
