I really hate saying this, as it makes me feel old...Im trying to add any tidbit I may have in my head to help rebuild our database
".....back on the old site......"
Last year I replaced my chain with an EK chain.
it was the EK 530ZVX 114Link.
it was rated at 11,100 lbs tensile strength
it was the "strongest chain", my lbs could find....
just an FYI for anyone out there....
3 things I dont skimp on; tires, chain, brakes, (sometimes oil)
cheers
Alan
Did you consider fitting a Scottoiler or similar device?
nope
lately my seasons been 3 months, and I rode no more than 5k-ish km. So if i get another 25k km, thats 5 or 6 years.. Im ok with that.
I know life can be expanded exponentially by an oiler, I just havent got there yet.
The main advantage is that it lubricates with oil, not sticky chain spray which is hell to remove. The excess oil from the oiler just wipes off. Easier to keep the bike clean.
