Carbon Heatshield dual/single seat installations
« on: »
Morning All,

Happy NY and all that...

Has anyone got the instructions or installation guide for either (or both) the single seat kit with the carbon heatshields and the bodge that allows them with the original seat?

I bought the shield and bits off the old forum for the dual seat bodge but may be doing a swap for the single seat kit and wanted to check what's needed.

Cheers
Nat

And all that indeed, hard to believe its 2019. The single seat kit needs the carbon tailpiece which includes the internal support frame. Thats all I think if you have already got the other stuff.

Cheers Graeme,

Does anyone know if the undertray needs modding for use with the carbon slash cut shields?  I seem to recall the dual seat mod required the undertray being cut up? I have an oblong lump of ally that goes somewhere that came with the dual seat bodge kit!

B-)

Memories a bit of an issue but think it needs a little cutting top and bottom for the mounting.

All, I did some pics and stuff with most of my changes since first bought an MT in 2012.
Not just for here but I want to have my accumulated bits and pieces online so have created a site based on my business.
But anything to do with bikes will not see that, its just a storage that I can claim on tax by having a work home page.
I make my own site on my own domain so safe for work and no ads or anything.
We are talking about the options for undertails, exhausts and stuff at the moment so will start with that.
As it says on the entry page the images are at 800x and 300dpi so useful to print etc.
More to come in due course, particularly about the "stage 4 " job.
