I haven’t used my MT01 much during the past 18 months, but yesterday put it back on the road, and found after a 50 mile ride that I had a leaking fork oil seal. I noticed that the damping of the front suspension felt poor, with potholes & poor road surfaces feeling really harsh and underdamped.
After 18 years it’s clear that the forks & rear shock would benefit from a refurbishment, but instead of simply fitting new fork seals & fork oil, can anyone recommend a worthwhile suspension upgrade? What about Andreani adjustable cartridge kits? Any advice and thoughts would be welcome
Does anyone have any experience of this fork upgrade. Also what about fitting a progressive spring to the rear shock assembly?
Sorry no one's come back to you on this. The only upgrade I've seen is Ohlins which were an original Yamaha upgrade but they're very much rocking horse sh!t these days!

Thanks Max
Unfortunately as you’ve commented the ÖHLINS forks are completely unobtainable now, easier to find rocking horse sh!t
After getting some positive feedback about Andreani products, I’ve taken the plunge & ordered a set of Andreani Misano Evo adjustable hydraulic cartridges for the MT01. The spring rate is matched to the rider, so I had to weigh myself (not a pleasant activity after far too many pies consumed in recent months 🥧), and order the springing for a fat basta*d which Andreani could offer

I’ll let everyone know the results when they are fitted in the next few weeks
