Afternoon All,
As the MT is going in for the Barnett im looking at what else could be done. IIRC braided hose kits we're a bit iffy as the Clutch kit needs a custom to run the whole length and i seem to remember some brake line kits weren't quite long enough either. For my old MT i had the pipes made to order but are there any decent kits available that work without modifying?
Cheers
Nat
Hi Nat,
I bought Venhill front & rear hose kit for the MT-01 which were fine for length, however I had to go back to them for a custom length when I changed to my current set up but they're good hoses and come with all the correct banjos etc.

I used the Wezmoto ones from fleabay, iirc £90 for front and back brakes with the standard 3 line setup for the fronts. No problems with the length or the way that they fitted
Get a custom hose made up....Its easy really.
Get the banjo crank &^ length right and its simple enough....The banjos can be rotated before you fit them. Wezmoto are cheap but man, I hate those fixed fuckers with twisting and length issues...Ive done a few set ups now. If its OEM, thats one thing. If its an aftermarket "kit"..I tend steer clear these days. I know Goodrich offer coloured banjos and
**** but this coating is soon flaking off, once you start warming the brakes up !
I use Helperformance "build a line"..Not the same colourful array of options but does what it says....
I just did the clutch hose as it happens... !
I did have custom lines on the old one as the dealer i used to get serviced at had all the gear and as the clutch line is a mix of hose & pipe he ran one the full length following the guide on the old forum. Have you still got the length handy Tim?
B->
Not sure how handy it is- I'll have a look as I may have kept the old line....
check your local hydraulic service techs, theyll usually do custom...
hydraulic hoses or hydraulic pistons YMMV
Just looked at the order details for the clutch hose I fitted a week or so back...
Reads: custom length - 180cms
Apparently I opted for straight banjos at both ends.
I strongly recommend you measure your own though mate.
Hope it helps.....
