Has anyone taken the air box out and put in intake funnels on ,i've got a full stage 2 mt plus power commander would i need to put the bike on the dyno again or would the pc compensate for this.
Many thanks Derek.
I've got a Patrick Racing air kit on mine and would have thought a dyno run would be needed if you do this mod. In hindsight I wish I still had the airbox the induction noise can be loud and annoying

Do you want an airbox...?
I should have all the gubbins that goes with too...although I drilled the fook out of the lid....!
No i'm taking my air box out and putting the Dominik Klein velocity stacks on i was just wondering if the noise they make is good or bad
Not heard of it Derek..that was meant for Rocker really, as he was saying he didnt like the induction noise..
I cant hear mine really...but I wear earplugs....

Let me know if it's any use mate...!?!
IMHO of course but reckon these 150mm K&N's on 43mm bodies do an excellent job mounted directly to the body. Noise is lovely but then am pretty deaf, just ask the missus.

Thanks for the offer Tim but going to stick with it, not using her this year anyway will have a think and I might pop up Norfolk way for a cuppa when it's warmer:)

No worries mate.
I didnt seem to use mine much last year either but I hope to stretch her legs a bit more this year...
I moved to suffolk a couple years back...so pretty local if you change your mind !

I would have thought a larger tank conversion would be the go in your neck of the woods Graeme ! They take up too much space to make it viable I would have thought...?
Im near Diss, in a little place called Hoxne, off the B1118.
After thieves made several attempts to break into my lockup in Norwich, I decided to pull the plug on that place...!

sorry Derek- didnt mean to jack your thread mate !

Hi Tim, yes, no, range is manageable. Those K&n's fit in nicely, just. You will see they have a bit of a neck which I cut down a little on both. That and the design of the K&n at the base give a bit of a velocity stack. Patrick and the yam ones were only about 70mm anyway. Also doing less road riding on it these days as I move to more track days. Its been too hot for riding anyway, lots of soft or melted road too, we always get bits at times but particuarly bad this year.
