Hi Graeme, Sadly I think you're right, most people have migrated to the Facebook groups which are OK but I prefer the forum. On the airscoop it does have the look of a flame about it but I believe it's only there to try and mask the shape of the oil reservoir, ditched mine long ago :)
An early happy New year to you anyway.

Ah well, thats the way it goes. All the best to yourself. cheers

So the forum is dead? Just in case, compliments of the season from the Victorian High Country. One topic that must have been talked about over the years is the shape of the air scoop for the rear.
It is a "flame blade". Very clear when you highlight the edges.

MT-01 / Single Seat Kit Installation - Help needed
« Last post by pj8 on October 27, 2021, 07:33:48 pm »
Hello,

I have a second hand single seat kit, however I have no installation instructions or bolts / nuts / screws to fit.

I am wondering if anyone has a copy of the installation instructions and / or a list of the necessary screws / nuts / bolts I will need to fit the kit.

I did speak to my local Yamaha dealer and although they are willing to fit the kit, they also explained that it has been such a long time since they fitted one that it will be a little difficult without the right screws / nuts / bolts.

So I thought I would ask the MT-01 community.

I am hoping there is someone with experience fitting them on here who can help.

Regards,
Paul.

I've had this before, but only once in 15 years, so I'm not sure what actually caused it. Perhaps the specific type and specific sort of riding/surfaces. Never had it with Michelin DC tyres. Glad you like it, they are special.

MT 01 2006 54000 km on the clock. Front tyre wearing twice as fast as rear .  Commute use all Year round . Previous bike Bandit 1250 it was always 2 rear tyre to 1 front.

Is this type of wear normal on the MT 01 ?

Have the MT 01  2 year's now  and will NEVER let it go . Most fun I ever had on two Wheels.
