MT-01 / Re: Fuel return nozzle leak

Hi all,
Had my tank off for a while and now on install I have a leak from the fuel return nozzle (bottom of fuel pump) around the nozzle base before pipe joint.
It had some slight movement before taking off so hasn’t changed.
Does the fuel system need to be primed and full of fuel before nozzle makes a seal or is there damage?
Any one else had this problem.

Thanks all
Gidday DD, thinking the forum was dead but not quite. Yes and no to having that problem. No to the system needing to be primed to assisting the sealing. Return line is lowish pressure and a simple barb fitting so shouldnt be a problem to seal, you do have to be a bit carefull that it is not being kinked when you seat the tank fully home. Is it spit at join?
Did have an issue a few years back when I had refitted the supply line, gone for a dyno run, ridden at Phillip Island then went for a short ride from home only to have that line pop off and drain the tank while riding and rear tyre sliding around, just got home as tank emptied. So watch that the supply line is on fully and that the connector has clicked into place.
cheers Graeme

Hello,
I have a second hand single seat kit, however I have no installation instructions or bolts / nuts / screws to fit.
I am wondering if anyone has a copy of the installation instructions and / or a list of the necessary screws / nuts / bolts I will need to fit the kit.
I did speak to my local Yamaha dealer and although they are willing to fit the kit, they also explained that it has been such a long time since they fitted one that it will be a little difficult without the right screws / nuts / bolts.
So I thought I would ask the MT-01 community.
I am hoping there is someone with experience fitting them on here who can help.
Regards,
Paul.
