Title: Re: cutting standard seat
Post by: Rocker on September 13, 2018, 10:02:27 pm
yes thanks looks like you have put a spacer in just finding it hard because the boomerang thing has a threaded hole as well as the foot rest so think I need to make 2 spacers to keep the footrest level
You'll need to drill out the threaded hole and bolt right though

Arr I see what you're doing now, I did the same but cut the carbon tail so the seat stayed whole

As I said you'll have to drill out the plate and bolt the footrest right though with maybe a spacer or two I can't really remember it was a while ago and I'm not running with that set up now

Thanks you its a start I do think my old one was cut more as it needs to let the carbon tail cover to fit into the cut out think I may need to remove the carbon tail and cut around it but will try this first Thanks
This is a Yamaha made single seat (they do look rough) but sounds like a good plan using the tail piece as a pattern :)

Just seen this, I,ll do a pic for you tomorrow. They are just a standard base cut off pretty rough.

Sorry, busy busy, tomorrow, promise.
