Title: Re: Crankshaft Position Sensor
Post by: Rocker on July 14, 2018, 08:05:20 pm
Hi All
Anyone had any problems with the CPS bike seams to be "Knocking" (Pinking) under 2000 revs then when hot surges and is pretty unrideable.
I have gone for the cheaper easier option first and will change the TPS (has factory yellow dot) which while it reads the correct resistance changes when hot (still within range though) as the problem is getting progressively worse and worse and driving me nuts ??? ::)

As far as I can tell it was the TPS, bought (in stock!!! £97) and fitted new TPS  did a road test getting her hot in traffic and bingo fault gone.
I think I've had this fault for 8 years!!! changing things resetting things remaps dynos on and on.
