I often heard that Suzuki was the worst, cheaper to buy, more expensive to maintain. But I never saw any evidence of that.

Anyway, it's a rip-off. Just think about how much an MT-01 (or any other bike) would cost if you had to build it from spare parts only ...

I'll take your word for it, but they seem more expensive than equivalent parts for my other bikes (inc Honda) & my car (Land Rover...)

Unfortunately Yamaha is not more expensive than any other Japanese brand. HD is not known for bargains, and I don't think BMW is any cheaper ...  :'(

So no matter what, if you need spares, you've got to pay, unless you find used ones.... It's the same thing with cars.

Browsing Yamaha spares recently & REALLY shocked at the standard prices from the dealers :o  :o.  Are there cheaper ways to get genuine bits? I don't need anything atm fortunately but for the future, if I decide to keep my 01.  There used to be a couple of sources (like Baci) on the old site for parts. Are Yam bits more expensive than other makes?
