I've given up with the "Meerkat" as I think the prices are creeping up >:(
now use Asda Compare which I've found to be up to 50% cheaper than the fuffy fecker

Im still through Flux...
Just started a new policy for something else, through a different broker...they came back with the same under writer. I think they arent far off. You can only take the best deal....  :)

Flux finally came back with a value of £9000 which is £1500 less than i put in for and they said if i'm not happy ill have to get an assessors report to back up my valuation! The joke of it is they wanted me to pay extra for them to do the 'work' to agree the value (even though i'd already paid the extra to cover the guaranteed value) and there was no extra charge for this when i actually renewed last year as i checked the form. As the bike is a 2011, 8500 miles, full stage 2 with about £1500+ of extras on top i reckon that's a low ball figure if the worst was to happen. I did see there's 12-15 MT01's on fleabay at the mo so i assume they are currently not in fashion and i suspect their 'work' was to look at fleabay & bike trader.

One issue is not so much the Guaranteed Value, but actually getting cover because of the extra's. I've got my IAM Advanced Certificate for the bike and their insurer (Surety) call me up every year and then back off once i get about 4 items into the A4 list of add-ons!

To add to the comedy value of Flux, they also have my car insurance and when i got a quote for a new car they picked £850 out of the air. A quick Meerkat check has equivalent insurance starting from £400.

Bye Bye Flux...

Agree with Nikk. I'm with Flux and we have an agreement where they only pay out for standard parts as it's impossible to price my bits but as to what they'd actually pay I'm not holding my breath. Haven't met a one that doesn't try to rob you on value.

I’m with Bennett’s. Good service and pricing but I honestly don’t trust any insurer to actually pay out an agreed value. They will always try and get out of paying more than standard trade I reckon.

Morning All,

Any recommendations for insurance in the UK? I'm currently with Bikesure/Adrian Flux but after a snafu with the Guaranteed Value not getting completed at renewal last year i'm beginning to think they wont get my money this year. The problem is covering all the extra bells & whistles plus the guaranteed value seems to be rare.

Any suggestions?
Cheers
