I noticed similar sounds from new. I was assured it was a feature of the beast. Lots of large straight cut gears. Agree it is annoying but in my case it reduced as the engine etc ran in. What is your mileage?

Other than nearing the speed of sound, is the drive chain lubricated?
A dry chain has caused vibration and noise on other bikes I've had. On the MT I have installed a Scottoiler, nice stuff.

Hi All

I hope I am worrying about nothing here.
Had the bike a few weeks now and starting to hear things and over think, on acceleration and deceleration the bike whines. Its not a horrible sound but is it normal?
It sounds a bit like when a car is in reverse but nowhere near as high pitched
I feel like it has been there all the time but just over thinking it now, no performance issues and gear change is fine (smoother that my ole GSX1400) but I just want to get some other experiences cheers
