Hi All

A few of us are planning a long weekend of riding around Scotland, starting in Moffat on Saturday 25th. Ideal opportunity to meet up and have a ride out if you're able.

Sounds good to me but if the weather is shite I'll be on the Super Ten.
Thinking of stopping over somewhere as well - any suggestions?

Ride up Friday, overnite nr Moffat, ride further and get back Monday evening???
I need a frickin break and need a good ride out, some nice food and a few beers with some Pals.......

I'm in St Helens but because of work it would only be an early Saturday start with an overnight stop over

Hi Alex I'm OK thanks, it'll be good to catch up with you again. I was up in Scotland early July but on the west coast and Islands mostly wild camping but I did stay on a couple of sites when I needed a shower. I got over to Orkney but was a bit miffed when I couldn't get across to the Shetlands because they were "full" and couldn't fit a single motorbike on the ferry.
Did you get rid of your MT03?

Yes I sold the 03 a few years back as I wasn’t using it did 420 miles between mot’s got £1100 more than I paid for it 7 years later

Our plan is to ride out on the Saturday and Sundays, returning back to the same place so that we're not forced to ride 200 miles if the weather is awful!

Sorry can’t do the Saturday due to work commitments after being on for 2 weeks but definitely can meet up on the Sunday
