Meet up 1st October - Ponderosa Cafe
« on: »
Hi guys. Thinking of a day meet here, great roads, great butties and always an interesting selection of bikes to look at. Lake Bala is only a few miles away too, which is a good place to swing by.

Any interest, let us know and we will sort the timing nearer to the day,

Cheers

Cool. You guys and anyone else with distance to travel are welcome to stay at mine on the Saturday. Think Tim is up for it, hopefully Colins too.

I was hoping to be able to make this but just had confirmation my daughters house purchase has completed this morning and I'm chief furniture remover/van driver for the weekend so can't make it.
Sods law is at play here, 1 weekend out of 52 and she has to complete THIS weekend!
On the plus side my garage gets decluttered of all her bloody furniture, so my bikes get it back to themselves.

Do we still want to do this guys? It's looking properly miserable unfortunately. You can always come over for a night of beer of course ;)

I had the O1 suspension serviced yesterday...and today, I discovered the Ohlins had leaked oil all over the floor...!
Might still be up for it if others are game - Id be coming in the van though. Looks quite knarly for riding !?!   :(

Cancelled due to the crap weather. Hopefully we can get together in a few weeks before they start salting the roads, otherwise spring 2018 it is!

Depending on your outlook, I kind of lucked out with that !   ;D

Somehow, the unit was assembled from new with too small an o ring behind the adjuster.  ???
The service doesnt actually require the reservoir end to be disassembled but after Darren had finished replacing the seal, re-gassing it & resetting the adjusters,  I took it home and it leaked overnight. It went back in and the problem was diagnosed & rectified free of charge ! It was always gonna let go at some point. A 1.5mm "O" ring where there needs a 2mm "O" ring...surprised it didnt leak sooner, somewhere altogether more inconvenient..!!?  ;D
Anyone got a good suggestion how to prop the bike up whilst the swingarm is out...?

  cheers...

Thanks Tim, mine is sitting on one of those small scissor lift things under the engine.

Sorry, half an answer. Scissor lift under engine and tie downs from pillion peg brackets to overhead.
They hook securely under the wider part of casting.

A few of us are getting together on the weekend of the 15th September and will probably venture out over to the Ponderosa Cafe again as it's great riding over there.
